The aim of this work is to summarize findings of causes and consequences of this health problem. Even though in some cases only genetic mutations are responsible for obesity for example mutation in ob gene or Prader-Willi syndrome most cases are caused by lifestyle of people -excessive food intake and insufficient physical activity. There are many health problems accompanying obesity. The most serious problems are metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The consequences of obesity are, however, not confined only to health. We can also observe the economic consequences. Financial cost of treatment of obesity and related diseases are estimated in billions of dollars. Pharmacological treatment has so far proved to be ineffective. If drugs are effective, the side effects are so severe that their use is not possible. So far, the adipose tissue hormones that regulate food intake provide the best hope.

Bartesová, Gabriela ; Tomeš, Igor (advisor) ; Víšek, Petr (referee)
The thesis "Analysis of the Causes of Over-Indebtedness" consists of a detailed analysis of issues leading up to over-indebtedness. It also aims to point out the most serious consequences of over-indebtedness. The thesis brings attention to the relation between causes and effects which, in many cases, take the form of the opposite and vice versa. The boundary between cause and effect can often be indistinct, and it is essential to distinguish between the two in order to find a solution for an over-indebted client. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the issue of a loss of income which may lead to over-indebtedness, draws attention to the important role of education in the area of financial literacy, and notes on the most serious consequences of over-indebtedness, which it sees in the loss of housing, homelessness, and other negative effects. The research part concentrates on a social group which belongs to one of the most threatened with social exclusion, welfare applicants. The research attempts to analyse their debt situation in relation to their age, education, housing, unemployment period, willingness to change their situation, and willingness to repay their debt.

Vacek, Jan ; Čech, Petr (advisor) ; Horáček, Tomáš (referee)
Withdrawal from contract in business relations (consequences) Summary Withdrawal from a contract i the instute available to parties that find a contract to be unsound or damaging and that seek to be released from their contractual obligations. The conditions under which a party has the right to withdraw from a contract can be set out in the contract itself, but if the contract does not make specific provision for this then a right to withdrawal may be mandated by law. Following a party's withdrawal from a contract, both (or all) parties will find themselves in a new situation with new mutual rights and obligations. This paper focuses on the regulations governing the consequences of withdrawal from a contract as set out in the Czech Commercial Code. A major aspect of this is an analysis of the theoretical conception of withdrawal ex nunc (one of the most important legal concepts distinguishing current commercial regulations from the regulations set out in the General Civil Code). This paper examines the obligations that end with contract withdrawal, the obligations that survive and outlast the termination of a contract, and the new obligations that bind and affect the parties to the contract once the contract has been terminated by withdrawal. In these contexts, the fate of hedging instruments (such as...
